U.S. Senators are now equal to U.S. Representatives

  • The U.S. Constitution established two "houses" of Congress.

  • Representative were to represent the people, Senators were to represent the several States.

  • BUT, the 17th Amendment ended that! Now Senators are elected JUST EXACTLY like Representatives.
The Senate is no longer the "Upper House".

  • Prior to the 17th Amendment, Senators represented the State Legislatures and the Governor.

  • Now the States and Governors have lost their representation in Congress.
  • You Governors ought to fix that!
